Our Mission
The Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to supporting local business, strengthening community connections, and helping our region thrive. Serving Chemainus, Crofton, Saltair, and surrounding areas, the Chamber works to promote economic growth, tourism, local events, and collaboration between businesses, organizations, and the community.
From operating the Visitor Centre and coordinating community events to advocating for local businesses and creating networking opportunities, our mission is to foster a vibrant, welcoming, and resilient community where businesses and people can succeed together.

Board of Directors
The Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is made up of dedicated local business and community leaders who are passionate about supporting economic growth, tourism, collaboration, and community development throughout Chemainus, Crofton, Saltair, and the surrounding area. Together, the Board helps guide the Chamber’s vision while advocating for a vibrant and connected local business community.
Hal Bennett
Meet Hal Bennett, Chair of the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce and co-owner of Clover Clothing Co., which he runs alongside his partner, Bronwyn Berg. Grounded in resilience, connection, and inclusivity, Hal brings a thoughtful, community-first approach to both his business and his leadership.
Cath Scanlan
Meet Cath Scanlan, Vice Chair of the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce and co-owner of The Blue Orchard on Willow Street. With a strong sense of community and a passion for supporting local business, Cath brings both retail experience and heart to her role while helping contribute to the vibrancy of Chemainus.
Toni Hansen
Meet Toni Hansen, the interim Treasurer of the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce and owner of The Beehive Hair Studio in Crofton. Passionate about helping people feel confident and cared for, Toni brings creativity, connection, and strong support for local business to both her studio and the Chamber community.
Anya Brewer
Meet Anya Brewer, a Director with the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce and manager of the local antique mall, where she supports a collective of vendors and helps foster a strong sense of community. She also runs her own business buying and selling antiques and estate pieces, and is passionate about the unique character and people of Chemainus.
Lorna Rivard
Meet Lorna, the Second Vice Chair with the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce and Gallery & Gift Shop Manager at the Chemainus Theatre Festival, where she has worked for the past 10 years. Based in Saltair, she brings strong retail management experience and a passion for tourism, community growth, and arts representation. Outside of work, Lorna enjoys travelling and cooking.

Jodie Greis
Meet Jodie Greis-Phillips, a Director with the Chemainus + District Chamber of Commerce, owner of The Winning Touch Massage, and an active member of the Chemainus Car Club. Passionate about supporting local business and community events, she brings energy, creativity, and a strong connection to the Chemainus community.
