This summer is already feeling very HOT with over 35 degree weather in June. So we want to give you a guide on the best things to do in Chemainus during this heat wave and throughout the summer.
This is definitely one of our hottest summers yet and it is important to keep cool while still having some fun! We have created a list full of different options from swimming, eating, or shopping for the right items to avoid the sun.
Fuller Lake

Fuller Lake is a gorgeous place to sit and relax to take in the weather and company around you. It is also great for fishing, boating, and paddling, with the boat launch offering a place for kayaks, canoes, or any small boats to put in the water! Staying on the water is a great way to stay cool this summer.
Kinsmen Beach

Swimming is a great way to cool off and beat the heat. So we highly recommend finding a place to set up your towels in the shade, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and your favourite hat to keep the sun off of you! Kinsmen beach is the perfect place with a mix of sand and shells it's great to dig around to look at little critters! But remember to leave everything as you found it to help keep the little sea critters safe!
Chemainus Valley Museum

The Chemainus Valley Museum is full of great exhibits and is by donation! To top it off they have air conditioning to help keep you cool when walking through and checking it out! Open seven days a week from 10am - 3pm!
