By Car
From South Island
(Victoria, Langford, Sooke, Duncan)
From the Victoria area, take the Trans Canada (Highway 1) North. Drive past the Malahat Summit and the City of Duncan. Turn right off the Trans-Canada Highway on Henry Road (with signs to Chemainus), then follow road signs and Chemainus Road into town.
From North Island
(Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville, Comox Valley, Campbell River, Port Hardy)
From the North & Central Island region, follow the Trans Canada (Highway 1) South. Drive past the Town of Ladysmith and turn right on Chemainus Road (with signs to Chemainus). Follow Chemainus Road past Saltair community and eventually turn left into the town's core.
By Boat
From Vancouver
There are two different routes to Vancouver Island from Metro Vancouver: Horseshoe Bay & Tsawwassen. From those two routes, ferries will run to either the Nanaimo area (Horseshoe Bay & Duke Point) or the Victoria area (Swartz Bay).
From Seattle
The Seattle to Victoria 'Clipper' Ferry is a passenger only ferry service that connects from Pier 69 in Downtown Seattle to Victoria's Inner Harbour.
Black Ball Ferry Line operates via Port Angeles (2hr30min drive from Seattle) but operates as a vehicle ferry as well as passengers.
