Produce Rolling in to the Wednesday Market

The number of farms bringing their produce to the Chemainus Wednesday Market has increased dramatically over the last couple of weeks.

Walk down the aisles and you will see rhubarb, carrots, potatoes, greens, herbs, lucious strawberries and more.  You will be able to pair your produce with artisan bread, pies, cookies, jam and other home made food products.  Summer has definitely arrived at the farmers market!

 

Carrots, beets and early potatoes

Produce from Dudink's Farm, Nanaimo. They also brought the most wonderful strawberries!

 

Greens, cabbage and beans

Katie Farm from Westholme grew these wonderful vegetables.

 

Coast Salish carvings

These carvings by Leonard Sylvestor are the work of one of the three native carvers whose work was for sale in today's market.

Produce made into a delectable product from Rabbit Hill Farms of Nanaimo.

 

Herbs

Countryside Herbs of Duncan grew these herbs for you to take home and use to favour your food all summer.
