Golden Brush Award Winners
Winners of the 6th GOLDEN BRUSH AWARD for Excellence and Outstanding Achievements in Business and Community Participation
Chemainus and District Chamber of Commerce, with sponsorship from Chemainus-Ladysmith Chronicle and Island Savings hosted the sixth Golden Brush Award on the evening of February 7, 2011. Close to 100 people attended the awards banquet which was held at the Chemainus Theatre Festival Playbill Dining Room.
The Golden Brush Award which is given in recognition and honor of businesses and individuals from Chemainus, Crofton, Saltair and surrounding area that have shown Excellence and Outstanding Achievements in Business and Community Participation over the past year.
This year the Golden Brush Awards covered nine categories and one lifetime achievement award. The finalists were selected by a jury panel from nominations received from the business community and the general public.

- Volunteer of the Year – Kathy Wachs, Multiple Organizations
- Young Entrepreneur – Chris Webb, Chemainus PC Doctor
- Lifetime Achievement Award – Arlene Robinson, Cowichan Neighbourhood House
