ArtBeat Inaugural Event Success in Spite of Damp Weather

The first day of ArtBeat on Friday evening was successful in spite of slightly damp weather. Crowds cheered on the tap dancers, talked with the visual artists, watched the potter create beautiful shapes on his wheel, and enjoyed the musicians.

Families came together, often including the family pooch; strollers and bikes were common, and umbrellas, while present, were in the minority. Most people just ignored the slight sprinkle of rain.

ArtBeat will reappear on Willow Street every Friday, 5 -9 pm, until the end of August, with new experiences weekly!
